E-Mail Story Print Story Text Size:   A   A   A Email Story Posted: Wednesday, 04 November 2009 6:08AM Suspect Dead, Sheriff's Deputy Wounded In Lawndale Shooting LAWNDALE (CBS)  -- A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy who was shot and wounded in Lawndale Tuesday night has been released from the hospital authorities said Wednesday. A suspect was fatally shot by the deputy and was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting happened near the corner of 166th Street and Prairie Avenue said Supervisor Michael Pittman of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Authorities said the deputy was shot in the shoulder and is expected to survive.  CBS Broadcasting, Inc.
