A 13-year-old El Monte boy has been charged with two felony counts for allegedly starting the Morris Dam Fire on Aug. 25, which burned nearly 3,000 acres north of Azusa, according to the District Attorney's Office.
The teen, whose name is being withheld because of his age, is set to be arraigned Nov. 17 in Pomona Juvenile Court on one felony count each of arson of a forest and recklessly causing a fire to a forest or structure. He is NOT in custody.
