All Six `Star Wars' Films To Be Screened At Convention Center



LOS ANGELES, CA (CNS)  --    All six ''Star Wars'' films will be screened together in the United States for the first time today at a fan convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center in connection with the 30th anniversary of the release of the original film.

   The screening will begin at 9 a.m. with ''Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace,'' followed by the other two films of the second trilogy, then by the three films of the first trilogy. Intermissions will be every two-to- three hours between films.

   The screening will take 17 hours and end at 2 a.m. tomorrow, organizers said.

   The five-day ''Star Wars'' Celebration IV begins Thursday, but the opening day is open only to fan club members. The final four days are open to the public.

   Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will declare Friday, the 30th anniversary of the release of the original ''Star Wars'' film, as ''Star Wars'' day in Los Angeles and U.S. Postal Service officials will reveal the ''Star Wars'' stamp, convention organizers said.
