LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) -- Before you cook up those burgers or steaks in your fridge, check the label. A warning's out today about some nasty beef that can make you sick. Almost 400,000 pounds of tri-tip, steak, and other beef products are being recalled because they might be contaminated with E-Coli.
The bad stuff is from JBS Swift Beef Company of Colorado, and has "use-by" dates of mid-to-late June. One of the major distributors is Costco, and LA County health officials are telling people to toss anything questionable.
