A strip-mall and some surrounding streets are closed at this hour in Palmdale, as a Sheriff's SWAT team hunts for a burglar who's believed to be holed-up inside a local grocery store or an adjoining building. It all started around 1:00 this morning on Palmdale Boulevard around Fifth Street West.
The Sheriff's Department says there have been several recent burglaries in that same strip-mall, so they took things seriously when another alarm went off there this morning.
