RANCHO SANTA FE, CA (KNX) -- Former congressman Randy "Duke'' Cunningham's 50th Congressional District seat was won by Republican Brian Bilbray.
With 90 percent of 500 precincts reporting, the former Republican congressman had 49 percent of the vote to 45 percent for Democrat Francine Busby.
Randy "Duke'' Cunningham is serving time on corruption charges.
Bilbray told his supporters "with almost 80 percent of the precincts reporting, I think that we're going back to Washington.''
Bilbray will serve the remaining seven months of Cunningham's term.
