KNX 1070 Launches "Money 101 Online" Webisode Series


KNX NEWSRADIO launched its second exclusive series of video "webisodes" on www.KNX1070.com , detailing key consumer issues in a series called Money101 Online. The webcasting project , hosted by Bob McCormick, anchor of the stations's fastest growing program, Money 101 (weekdays, 9 a.m. - 12 noon), deduted featuring a report on identity theft, and later addresses topics travel, wills, divorce and debt consolidation.

KNX 1070's Morning News Honored as Best Newscast


(June 26, 2006) KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO's Morning News was Honored as Best Newscast for the second consecutive year and the stationwon a total of three Southern California Journalism Awards by the Los Angeles Press Club at its 48th Annual awards dinner. KNX was also honored for Best Breaking News Coverage - "Metro Link Crash" and Best Documentary - "40 Years From Vietnam."

Julie Chin Named KNX 1070 News Director


(May 24, 2006) Julie Chin is expected to join KNX 1070 NEWSRAIO on June 26. She has served as assistant news director for KGO-AM in San Francisco since 2001 and in various capacities at the news/talk station since 1994. Ronnie Bradford, who remains at KNX as assistant news director, has served as interim news director since ED Pyle retired in January.
