Randy Keith

Randy Keith joined the airborne and studio traffic reporting team at KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO in 1999 after he began working at Shadow Traffic early in his college career. A communications and business major, Randy graduated from UCLA in 2001.

During that time, Randy also worked part-time as a producer and engineer at KFI-AM as well as the KTLA Morning News. He also worked for two summers at WABC-AM in New York with personalities including Sean Hannity and Richard Bey.

Since completing his undergraduate education, Randy has moved back to the Santa Clarita Valley. He has been working as a substitute teacher in the Wm. S. Hart Union High School District, primarily subbing for at his alma maters. Randy is an avid supporter of local high school drama and choral programs, as he was a part of both as a student. He has been playing the piano since the age of 2, and can be seen performing on select evenings at City Walk's "Howl at the Moon" Dueling Pianos bar.

Randy's other hobbies include flying (he obtained his private pilot license in April 2002) and, can you believe it, radio! He has been a ham radio operator since the age of eleven, being one of the youngest Americans to earn his Extra Class Amateur Radio license before turning twelve. Randy continues to be active in his "hometown" community, where he hosts the morning show on local station KHTS-AM.
