Getting you to the beach on Saturday and home from Las Vegas on Sunday is Timothy Greenwood in his regular weekend afternoon timeslot. During the week you can often hear Tim reporting airborne from "fixed wing" Air 1070, Chopper 1070, or working in the studio. Tim is one of the few on the traffic team to have filled in for the legendary Jim Thornton broadcasting on KNX 1070 and CBS-2 during the busy morning shift
Tim spent 3 years as a live television reporter and backup anchor and weathercaster in Tampa, Florida at WTOG-TV. Here Tim was a live reporter outdoors, working waterfront to car wreck to neighborhood celebration. Inside the studio, he was the backup weathercaster and news anchor, taking each assignment and making accurate television news the goal. Tim was on air for the landfall of Hurricane Andrew.
As host of a fast paced and fun syndicated radio talk show, Tim interviewed known celebrities live and took calls. "Limelight: The Entertainment Show" was heard in 43 markets nationwide for three hours weekly. A popular feature on the show was an original radio comedy serial Timothy wrote, which is currently in production as an animated program.
In Los Angeles you may have seen Tim hosting segments on KCET television or heard him doing any number of voice work assignments in the city.
Tim spent six years as a television producer at HSN making programming and celebrity segments seen in 60 million homes. Tim is a skilled AVID video editor and has turned out video and promo work in Los Angeles for The WB, BET, TVG and The Disney Channel. Tim has volunteered to create custom presentations for The American Cancer Society - Conejo Valley Chapter, The Centers for Disease Control "VERB" campaign, Kreig Art Studios who made the Hollywood Boulevard security door murals, and the Ontario / Chaffey show band.
Wanting to give back to other broadcasters who started as young as he, you can find him as a regular guest lecturer at the Academy of Radio and Television in Huntington Beach.
Timothy has a degree in Business Administration and Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. Fasten your seat belt — and see you this weekend!
