Bob McCormick joined KNX 1070 in July 1997. Bob does business reports Monday through Friday mornings and hosts the very popular Money 101, which airs throughout the day at :26 past the hour. During his more than 25 years in the business he has covered political conventions, natural disasters, hostage stand-offs and major criminal trials.
In 2008, Bob won the prestigous Golden Mike award for 'Best Business & Consumer Reporting' for Money 101. His other honors include the Los Angeles Press Club and California / Nevada AP Awards for his investigative series on a strawberry pyramid scheme in Ventura County and the KNX Business Show has garnered several Golden Mike awards, including his most recent for Best Economic Reporting, in January 2004.
Prior to joining KNX, Bob worked in San Francisco as news anchor for KPIX Radio, KPIX-TV, KCBS-AM and KOFY-TV. From l991-94 Bob was news director and an anchor for KRLD in Dallas.
Bob and his wife Ellen are enjoying their new home in Southern California. He claims golf, the guitar and writing as his favorite pastimes and hobbies. Bob often speaks at business events in Southern California.
