LOS ANGELES, CA (AP) -- L-A's City Council isn't reconsidering a multi-million dollar settlement granted to a firefighter who was allegedly made the butt of a racial prank despite photos that surfaced showing him hazing others.
The Council voted six-six not to consider undoing the two-point-seven million dollar settlement for firefighter Tennie Pierce, who alleged that a colleague fed him dog food as part of a humiliating gag.
Two Council members had said they wanted to re-examine the settlement because of the photos given to a television station that allegedly show Pierce willfully joining the hazing of others.
Pierce's attorney said the part he played in such pranks was considered as part of the settlement.
