LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) -- Relief is coming for commuters tired of the congestion on one of Southern California's most heavily-traveled highways.
Ground will be broken today for a nearly $60 million project to widen the eastbound 91 Freeway. It will add an extra lane through the Santa Ana Canyon area linking Orange and Riverside counties.
About 300,000 cars travel that route every day; it's considered one of the worst freeway bottlenecks in the country.
