Mandatory evacuations were ordered in the area near that fire, which caused significant damage to the main building at Brea Canyon Continuation High School
Firefighters were working to contain the flames, hoping to prevent the fire from merging with the so-called Triangle Complex Fire that began in Corona and then spread into the Orange County cities of Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills, and is also threatening Chino Hills in San Bernardino County.
The cause of the Brea fire is still unclear.
