LOMA LINDA, Calif. (CBS) ― A wild boar that ran loose in the backyard of a Loma Linda home Wednesday had to be restrained by several animal control officers and deputies after being tranquilized, according to Derek Bell, who was overhead in Sky 9.
Animal control officers and deputies had been on scene trying to contain the pig in the 11500 block of Cedar Way and had the house completely surrounded, Bell reported.
Officials reportedly used tranquilizers on the animal earlier, which had not been powerful enough.
The boar reportedly destroyed a gate and was seen ramming into doors to try to get inside the house.
