CAMP PENDELTON (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) -- A new medical facility is expected to open any day now at Camp Pendleton to treat troops with traumatic brain injuries. Traumatic brain injuries are the most common injury with men and women returning from service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Military officials say about 720 Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton currently suffer from traumatic brain injuries. The Camp Pendleton facility is the latest in a string of centers opening nationwide to deal with the growing problem.
