LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) -- While train service has been cancelled along Metrolink's Ventura line, plans have been announced by Metro to use a "bus bridge" around the scene of the Metrolink train crash. The use of the "bus bridge" will begin on Monday. The first departures of the buses will be at 5:08 am from the Moorpark Metrolink station and will continue throughout the day at the same times that the trains are scheduled to run.
The buses will be making stops at the Simi Valley Metrolink station and will then be delivering the passengers to the Chatsworth Metrolink station. From there people can transfer to Metrolink trains which will travel to Burbank, Glendale, and Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.
Metrolink has announced that trains will run as they do normally beginning Monday with the exception of the Ventura Line.
