Lake Elsinore Man Blows Off Hand Making Homemade Bomb
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (CBS/KNX) -- A Lake Elsinore man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of trying to make a bomb after he went to a hospital emergency room with his hand blown off.
Benjamin Kuzelka, 23, reportedly told hospital staff that he suffered a gunshot wound, but they determined that the injury was inconsistent with a gunshot wound.
Authorities were called and sent to Kuzelka's home, where they found explosives, as well as a sophisticated
marijuana-growing operation.
The explosives found inside were reportedly the highly sensitive TATP. Nazi paraphenalia was also found inside the home.
The home is a licensed daycare facility called Kuzelka Daycare.
Kuzelka's 55-year-old mother, as well as his 21-year-old brother, were also arrested.
All three will be charged with manufacturing of explosives, felony child endangerment and possession for sale of marijuana.
