John Brooks loves to tell 40-second stories. Perhaps that is why he has been telling them at KFWB since 1979. For a dozen years an award winning morning news anchor, John is now back to doing what he loves best, field reporting. And in February 2009, John began reporting for KNX.
Over the years John has traveled on assignment to report many major stories including the first nine space shuttle landings, the spaceprobe missions of Galileo, Voyager, and Mars Rovers from JPL, the Hillside Strangler trial, and to the Mideast before the first Gulf War with Vice President Quayle.
A native of Buffalo, New York and a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, John attended Allegheny College in Pennsylvania. He is married to Frances and they have a daughter April.
