LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO)  -- A plan to release thousands of low-risk inmates from California's overcrowded prisons will not be included when Governor Schwarzenegger presents his revised budget proposal tomorrow. An aide says he's dropped it. 

This appears to be politically astute move as not a single state legislator was supporting the idea. But Schwarzenegger will still include a plan to allow people who violate parole, but don't commit new crimes, stay out of prison.
