LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) -- The pink slips are coming.15 LA city employees will be given their walking papers this week. They're the first of some 4,000 layoffs ordered by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as the city tries to balance its books before its budget year ends July first. The city's Personnel Department will tell supervisors tomorrow which workers will be first to go.
The supervisors will then have two days to break the news to the employees and give them two weeks notice.
