LA HABRA HEIGHTS, Calif. (AP) ― Los Angeles County firefighters Monday quickly gained a handle on a small brush fire in La Habra Heights.
County fire Inspector Steve Zermeno said the fire, which had burned uphill in medium to heavy brush, was reported early Monday afternoon. It scorched 2 to 3 acres.
La Habra Heights is east of Los Angeles adjacent to Orange County.
Southern California is beginning to feel the effects of a dry, warm Santa Ana wind condition that is expected to last through Thanksgiving.
