LOS ANGELES (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO)  -- A young girl who found a newborn in a garbage bin near her Laguna Niguel apartment perhaps saved her own sister. The 11-year-old heard the baby crying and told some adults. But when sheriff's deputies arrived, they followed a blood trail to the little girl's own mother, who has now been charged with attempted murder. The 11 year old and another sibllng have been placed in protective custody while the mother was jailed. The baby was found soon enough that she'll be all right.
